My kids are 10 and 7 and have never been to Burning Man. I have been three times so they are very familiar with the event. I have told them a bunch of times that I would like to take them someday . . . One day I said:
"Do you two ever want to go to Burning Man?"
they replied,
"Mom, we NEVER want to go to Burning Man!!"
Guess that's that! I think they like their creature comforts too much. :)

he is funny
he wants to be a dj in the desert when he grows up.. its kinda cute -

Fri, February 16, 2007 - 11:42 PMMy daughter came with me to Burningman last year (she turned 3 out there on Friday) and as we were leaving (and sitting in exodus for about 45 minutes) she kept wailing "But I don't want to leave! I don't ever want to leave!" She finally just fell asleep from grief.....
A few days later I was asking her if she would like to go to Disneyland to celebrate her birthday. She said "No, I want to go to Burningman for my birthday!" (to take this in context you have to know that she has asked if she can go to Disneyland at least once a day, every day, for the last year and a half!)
